Yesterday I posted a video clip (originally posted by Reepicheep) of Nancy Pelosi's assertion that the church doctors were indeterminative as to when life begins (which is, by the way, beside the point and, historically speaking, a fundamentally deceptive way to address the question she was asked). Today Mickey Mclean at the World Magazine blog reports that Rome has responded.
Disclaimer: While I believe Roman Catholicism (defined according to its official dogma) is not a Christian church, the right to life issue is an arena in which we should certainly stand together.

Technically, Rome hasn't responded, but rather the Archbishop of Washington. I'm glad for his response, but I suggest immediate excommunication if she does not repent of her falsehoods.
The Pope certainly knows of her statements, why is he not acting?
Gene Veith's post is very helpful:

Thanks Les,
Veith quotes Bonhoeffer. I think Bonhoeffer's is clarifying:
“Destruction of the embryo in the mother’s womb is a violation of the right to live which God has bestowed on this nascent life. To raise the question whether we are here concerned already with a human being or not is merely to confuse the issue. The simple fact is that God certainly intended to create a human being and that this nascent human being has been deliberately deprived of his life. And that is nothing but murder.”
