Sam Hodges of The Dallas Morning News published an article this Monday on the new Pastor of FBC Dallas, Robert Jeffress. Hodges writes:
After the vote, he told the congregation about an experience he said he'd never shared with anyone, including his wife, Amy. He said that one night as a Baylor University student, he was walking down the street and had a direct communication from God.
"God said to me, 'One day you will be the pastor of the First Baptist Church of Dallas.' ... Whatever happens, I know I am in the center of God's will."

"Whatever happens, I know I am in the center of God's will."
No offense to Horhay intended, but I've always found this expression a bit peculiar.
What means "center"? How much deviation does God allow? Does that "center" only apply to vocation or is that a daily bit as well?
How often does one have to re-calibrate the compass to get back to "true center"?
Well, skipidedoodah for him.
(rolling my eyes emphatically)
Gun: I can't help but think that either you or George (with his "center of God's will" shananigans) is off-center, or both of you are. :-) There's only one center by definition, right? I can't help but think of the old Western when the antagonist says to the protagonist, "There ain't enough room in this town for the both of us."
Steph: I can see the blue birds now.
